U11 DVS squad at Charlton

U10 Hurricanes

Today we at last got to play in a tournament we had been waiting for 16 months , we all made the long journey to Chiswick in west London.

We new it was going to be a test for the boys but we were in for a hard day as we have never come up against opposition of this quality. The teams we played came from all over England including Top  Academy’s and also from Leyton Orient, Birmingham and Peterborough Academy’s  . But the boys did themselves proud , their parents proud as-well as there coach’s and also Bromley Green as well
We could not ask anymore of them , it was a great couple of days for team building.

But our ref today was the best!!!
Apart from getting everything right he put the boys at ease with his manner and his attitude and the way he handled all the games, he even had a little dance in the field!!

Sheber Cup Semi Final Result

Bromley Green 5-4 Ashford United 3rds

Terrific second half performance after a lack-lustre opening half from the Green. All the details to follow from Sid. Super show by young wide man Mickey Mabb who fittingly netted the winner to send us into the final next week.

At the moment I have not been able to find out the result of the other semi final between Park Farm Rangers and Appledore.

The final will be played on the 30th May at The Homelands Stadium, kick off time to be confirmed. I believe it will cost £5 per adult and U15’s go for free.

Ashford United 3rds Match Report, taken from Ashford united FC fans on Facebook

At half time the 3rds were 3-1 up and should have made certain of the win in the second half. But Bromley Green was never going to let that happen. They pulled a goal back following the start of the 2nd half and began to push forward looking for a 3rd goal but it was Ashford 3rds who extended their lead to 4-2 and at that stage it should have been game over. But credit must be given to Bromley Green for their determination and effort to have kept going when other teams would have rolled over and died. As the 2nd half moved on Bromley Green scored a 3rd followed by a 4th to pull level and with 15 minutes to go, they hit the 5th and took the lead. From that moment on they did not look as if they would surrender that lead and held on until the final whistle and secured a win that takes them into the Sheber Cup Final. Well done Bromley Green and good luck in the final. Man of the Match Alfie Dryland Cheers Roger Hadlum Manager of Ashford United 3rds.

There are also a number of Photos on this post on Facebook from the game

The U13’s were also in action at home today against Ramsgate Orange.

The day gets better! Bromley Green U13s 9-6 Ramsgate with goals by Ben 3, MJ 4, Danny-Lee, and Charlie Bryant. hopefully match report will be available for tomorrows update!!
