Match reports from Saturday:

The U15’s were at home to Faversham Herons.

In a good first half saw the U15’s end up 4-0 down, but it did not show how well the team played and have improved from last season.

The start of the second half saw the Faversham team press hard and the U15’s did not switch on quickly enough and conceded 4 goals in ten minutes, which pretty much sealed the game, but when they awoke for the second half did not stop the U15’s from trying and creating a few chances to get a goal back, which would not come.

Jamie played really well in goal and saved many chances created but the opposition and should be proud of his performance.

The Manager’s player of the match went to Xander who since his move to left back has grown in confidence and stature with in the defence and produced several great displays over the last few weeks.

U16s achieved another 3-1 win v High Halden brilliant football goals from Archie 2 and Brentley. Very well battled against a tough opponent but were very composed and out played them across the park.

The U12’s Emeralds girls played at home today against Betteshanger Youth, playing only their second league match since being formed.

The girls played well from the very beginning and are starting to gain confidence which shows in their performance. We also had two new players Mayzee and Maddison who only joined us in the last week, both of who played very well and have fitted straight into the team.

The first half saw some good saves from our goalkeeper Alycia and Catalina scored her first goal of the season 10 minutes into the game. Unfortunately Betteshanger equalised not longer after and the first half ended with us 3-1 down.

We came out determined in the second half with some great runs and passes by Ruby and Amy. Izzy had some fantastic shots at the goal but unfortunately the opposition goalkeeper proved unbeatable in the second half and the final score was a loss to us 7-1.

All the team played so well again and we will continue to build from the experience gained from this match. Izzy is this weeks player of the match. A big thank you to all the girls on the team for their fantastic effort this week.
