Hi Dave

Match report BG U10s v Ramsgate U10s

So we played today at home against a strong Ramsgate team, who made the game enjoyable from the off , they did not come to make up numbers and showered from the off their ability to get amongst it and break up play and play football.

Once we started to play football the chances started to come but it wernt to midway from when we got our noses Infront with a superb bit of play and great finish from Geroge.

2nd half we came out and imposed out football much better and more and more attacks started to be created , with Kai and Brad getting on the score sheet.

Good game well played to both teams.

Joint PoM Daniel V & Dexter who put in a great effort to keep the game in our favour.

George the two-footed maestro

George has worked hard on his right foot and it paid dividends with a goal at Ramsgate in the East Kent Youth League. Loads more to come George – well done!

Martyn Smith delighted with the Under 12s Double J Boxing squad

Goals from Player of the Match James Worthington (2), a Joe Nicholson free kick and a penalty converted by Tyler Sorsbie saw Martyn and company return home with a terrific 4-2 triumph following a tough encounter with Folkestone outfit Dynamo. 3-1 to the Green at the interval – keep it going boys and girls!

New signings for seniors lined up to make their debuts this weekend

A number of new signings have been completed in readiness for this weekend with former youth player ‘Old Boy’ Joe Griffin returning on Sundays after several years away. Alex has also been busy with Daryl Whiffen moving over from Len Valley and Aylesford-based Jason Thomson expected to make their debuts. Update: Jason is unwell.

Brian and his charges entertain highly-rated Smarden at Waterside while Alex and co are off to Wittersham (both games kick off at 2.45pm). Sunday offers three challenges with the firsts away to AFC Guildhall, the reserves at home to Folkestone United Reserves and the thirds at ‘home’ to Hugin Vikings at the Jackey Bakers Field. All Sunday fixtures get under way at 10.30am.

Meanwhile, Damion Truelove is looking to build a winning team and has added Henry and Joshua Clark to his McDonalds squad. Lots of new faces at training … welcome!

Those who attend the Thursday night goalkeeping sessions, please note only two more weeks remain due to the clocks changing. So a winter break is looming – but rest assured Grant will resume activities next March.

U18s TMS go down 6-0 away but lots of promise, Daniel Ellis and Tyler Quarrie netted for Ricky and co but we lost 5-2 largely as a result of silly mistakes.

Samuel was on target for the U9s this morning with Sean and Daniel netting for the U11 Hurricanes … details of all our games to follow later from the managers.

Well done Riley Lee our Player of the Match this morning for the Under 9s
