So there are no misunderstandings: I have had a number of adults/parents – indeed grandparents – asking why their teams/photos/children and PoM awards are not featured on this club-wide website. The simple answer is managers, coaches or admins are not sending details to me (making it impossible to facilitate balanced coverage). This also, of course, is not fair on sponsors who expect exposure on this platform and official club Facebook pages. We can only publish information we receive.

U12s Emeralds at SANDWICH this afternoon

Well done to all the girls this afternoon at Baypoint … Zoe Mason is our Player of the Match

4-1 win over arch rivals as Green U14s have their eyes on the title

Seven out of seven wins for the U14s EKYL squad, sponsored by Michelle Webb Childminding, after a 4-1 defeat of near rivals East Kent FC at Waterside this afternoon. Doubles for Charlie Bryant and Derren Straker. Next week we hope to have Preston Webb back after his foot injury when entertaining Lyminge (2pm).

Birthday greetings this Sabbath to Becky Andrews

Results this morning: firsts 3-3 away to Ashford Spartans (Alfie Glendinning 2, Tommy Hilden) and DNS reserves 3-1 home win against AFC Saltwood (Jake Murphy, Luke Couper, Matt Jarvis)

A Ronnie Dudley goal gave our Sunday Thirds hope at half time (1-3) but, despite a battling display, we went down 5-1 at the Jackey Bakers Ground

Saturday Reserves draw positives from League Cup defeat at Waterside

Congratulations Chris Boxshall – again a Green Player of the Match. Going down to Woodchurch is no shame and Alex will have drawn positives from the League Cup defeat on our own patch.

Good luck to Will, Jo and the boys in their ‘home’ Thanet League fixture against FC Enoteca at the Jackey Bakers Recreation Ground this morning. Also in action today are the U12 Emeralds, EKYL U14s and the DVS U12s – all facing tough opposition – so good luck everybody!
