Sunday updates – All home games are off today … Emeralds at Whitstable Town

Simon Oldfield reports from Whitstable

Away day in Oysterland for the girls

Matt the assistant coach presented Lydia with the trophy

It was a rather cold morning as we headed to Whitstable FC to play our first match of the year.

Both teams put on a great performance and the Emeralds, who are still in their first season, showed just how much they have progressed in their playing so far.

Despite some fantastic saves by our goalkeeper Alycia and some good attempts by us on goal in the second half, unfortunately it was not our day and we lost 6-0.

However, as a team the girls are growing in confidence, and we now look forward to our home game next weekend.

Player of the match is Lydia Abraham

Green on the attack at The Belmont

Clubhouse is closed today as all activities [except Junior Valiants training @11am with Ray] have been cancelled by the groundsman. Roll on summer.

All home games are OFF today as the pitches are unplayable after yesterday – sorry, but nothing our groundsman can do about it. Please make sure opponents, referees and leagues are made aware.

Ray Barker and the few Junior Valiants can still train but please keep away from the pitches … thank you

One team who do have action today are our U12s Emeralds Girls who are away to Whitstable Town in the KGLFL
