Enjoyable weekend

Aaron Maher is our PoM against Archers

Briefly …

  • Sunday seniors win 5-1 against new Dover side Archers with goals from Luke Burden (2), Lenny Russell, Alfie Glendinning and PoM Aaron Maher
  • U14s come back from trailing 2-0 to overpower Kennington U13s with a stunning second half display … all the details to follow
  • Encouraging second half performance by Avery Builders U11s

Match report from today – David Bridge, Avery Builders U11 manager

Useful learning experience today against a very good Minster side from the Kent League. First half allowed to get away from ourselves a little  but so proud of that second half performance. To draw the second half showed what the team really are about – and unlucky not to score more.

Definitely learning more in defeat than victory and these friendlies allow us to try new things like the 3 at the back today. Some good performances all round but PoM today went to Ibrahim – delivering on his promise of a birthday goal, capping an excellent display. Now for tournament season ☀️ ⚽️
