Bromley Green 3-5 Smeeth & Brabourne
Report by Martin Wirt
We was at home this week against Smeeth and Brabourne. We knew this game was going to be a test for the lads as s.a.b are sitting third in the league. We was without our usual keeper Tyler who was ill, so Jack went in goal for the team. The game got under way but the boys did not look up for it at all. They were all playing with their heads down and not looking for the pass. We held out for 10 minutes before s.a.b scored. We just weren’t creating chances, it ended 2.0 at half time. Ian and myself just tried to get the boys smiling and laughing and to go back out there and enjoy playing football. The boys went out for the second half with their heads up and begun looking a lot better. S.a.b kept the pressure on and scored their third. We came straight back with a good goal by Rowan. S.a.b then hit another but the boys never gave up playing and Rowan grabbed his second. Tyrese also got on the score sheet but the boys ended up losing the game 5.3. The second half performance was excellent so well done lads.
Squad: Jack, Joe, Beau, Coleson, Mason, prakit, Maks, Rowan, Tyrese
M.O.T.M went to Maks, well done!

Bromley Green v Mersham Hurricanes
Preview by Ian Mace
Weather permitting the Under 10s will be at home to Mersham Hurricanes, another big test this week as they are higher in the league than us but I think the boys will be up for this one after losing last week by the odd goal. We have to remember that last years under 10s only managed 6 points all last season while this season they have already reached 17 points and we are only half way through the season so they are doing really well and showing true Bromley Green spirit they never give up, We have some good talent in our squad and I am sure some bright talent for the future. Myself and Martin are really proud of them.

Match date: 2 February 2013
Headcorn 3-2 Bromley Green
Report by Martin Wirt
So on Saturday we travelled to Headcorn. We knew this would be a tough game as they beat us 1-0 in our previous home game against them. The pitch was very muddy and it was a very cold morning. Myself and Ian gave the boys a good warm up before the game and it seemed to do the trick, as we were well on top for the first 10 minutes. Captain for the day Joe broke from midfield to score our first goal. Headcorn soon started to put us under some pressure but with some good defending from George and Connor and a great save from keeper Tyler, the score stayed at 1-0. Tyrese was having a good game alongside Mason up front but they just could not find the second goal I felt we deserved. With a couple of minutes of the first half left, Headcorn had a corner. The ball came in and the boys just could not get the ball away in time and it ended up in the net. So we finished at half time with the scores level.
Myself and Ian encourage the players at half time. We also told Rowan to start pressing out of defence a bit more in the second half.
Our tactics were soon rewarded, when Rowan dribbled though the Headcorn defence and passed to Andrew who cooly put the ball in the net for his first goal at bromley green (well done mate!). Our lead did not last for long unfortunately, as Headcorn got one back straight away, so the scores were level once again at 2-2.
We came close a couple more times with Tyrese and Rowan both nearly scoring. We thought a draw would be a fair result. However with the very last kick of the ball Headcorn scored to get the win! The game ended 3-2 to Headcorn. We told the boys after the game that that was the way football went sometimes.
The boys played well in the game and we know they will bounce back from this. Man of the match went to Beau for a great defence display.
Team: Tyler, Beau, Rowan, Joe, Conner, George, Mason, Andrew, Tyrese.

Bromley Green 5-0 Biddenden
Report by Martin Wirt
12 January 2013 U10s[2]So after the Christmas brake we were back in action against Biddenden juniors. The game got under way and the boys were playing very well, with some good passing and moving. We soon found ourselves 1-0 up, when Joe slotted in his first goal for the club. We had a couple more chances with Rowan and George coming close. We finished the first half with our noses just in front. Myself and Ian told the players to just keep doing what they were doing and that more chances would come. They went into the second half and continued to keep up the good work. Tyrese stepped up to knock in a second goal. Biddenden then started to put us under some pressure but with a goal line clearance from Jack, this kept them at bay.
12 January 2013 U10s[1]We then scored a third, with another from Tyrese. We kept the pressure up and Beau bundled in the fourth. Tyrese rounded off the scoring with his tenth goal of the season. Tyler had a quiet game in goal but did the things he had to do well. Pratik and Rowan put up a solid display in defence. Well done to all the boys it was a good game. Man of the match went to Callum for some great play in the middle.  Final score 5-0 to Bromley green. Squad. Tyler, Beau, Joe, Jack.m, Callum, George, Pratik, Rowan and Tyrese

U10s Preview for Saturday 15 December 2012
By Ian Mace
This Saturday we are at home to South Ashford White having played them the week before and narrowly winning 1-0 we know this fixture is going to be another good test for us, and we will again have to be at our best. Making a couple of changes this week as we all know we have a big squad and i am having to rotate players each week, but i am sure whoever comes in will give their best. Very pleased with our efforts so far this season the boys are showing great attitudes working really hard for each other, just need to get our passing going sometimes it is better to set up a goal than score one its all about the team. I can see that the boys are enjoying their football and that is really important to our club and their progression for the future.

South Ashford White 0-1 Bromley Green
Report by Ian Mace
On sat we were away to South Ashford White at pitchside who were a position higher than us in the league so we new it would be an even contest and we had to be at our best to get all 3 points. After the 4-0 loss from the week before and our keeper Tyler Donovon out through illness Myself and Martin thought we needed to change a couple of positions to try and get us back to winning ways so we asked Jack messenger to go in goal, Beau Ogoram and Joe Gower in midfield, Pratik Limbu and Rowan Mohammed- Ali in Defence, Tyrese Quigley and Mason Collen up front with on standby on the bench Andrew Harris and Connor Knight. We started well working hard for each other creating many chances but just couldnt get in the the net, mason came close making their keeper save, Joe and Beau came close but just put it wide, Tyrese had a one to one with their keeper but just put it wide of the post. Then with a good ball through from Rowan Tyrese was one to one again with their keeper but this time he placed it in the corner of their goal to make it 1-0 at Half time. South Ashford White came at us in the second half but couldnt get through us with some brilliant defending from Pratik. Jack also pulled off some really good saves too when Connor and Andrew came on they battled really well for the team we kept catching South Ashford on the break but didnt release that final ball to put our forwards in. With 5 minutes to go we got a corner and from the corner Rowan scored but the ref deemed that Rowan had push a player and disallowed it but we were happy at the final whistle to win 1-0. Well done to every one today it was a great aquad effort, my man of the match went to Andrew Harris who worked really hard for his team mates. Good win lads lets keep it going showing that bromley green attitude to never give up and always try your best and most importantly enjoy your game. Not such a bad saturday for Bromley Green even though the seniors lost the under 10s carried the flag for us.

We went out of the cup on Saturday at home to Headcorn after looking the better side for long periods and twice holding the lead. In the end we lost 4-2 but it was a splendid effort by the boys and they can hold their heads up high.

Bromley Green 0-0 Mersham Spitfires
Report by Ian Mace
On saturday we were at home to Mersham Spitfires and like all Mersham youth teams we new this would be another good test for our new under 10 side. Both sides started well attacking both ends of the goal, but our defence was standing strong starting with our goalkeeper Tyler making numerous good saves to beau and joe looking as solid as ever, midfield very battling really well with Pratik, Mason, Jack ,Coleson, Maks, and the 2 Forwards up front Tyrese and rowan were linking well together but just couldnt hit the back of the net, the best chance came from a brilliant shot by tyrese which left their goalkeeper helpless but struck the cross bar and went over. 5 minutes from the end the ball hit Tyler in the face and he had to come off with a nose bleed, Jack went in goal and pulled off some good saves to keep the score 0-0 at the final whistle well done Jack, Myself and Martin are really proud of the young new team we have they show a lot of determination and have that green attitude to never give up. My man of the match goes to Pratik who never stoppped running and kept putting in good tackles for the team well done Pratik. Very surprised this game ended up 0-0 as both Teams were very good in attack it was an exciting game to watch plenty of chances just couldnt find the back of the net. Well done everyone.

Park Farm Rangers 6-4 Bromley Green
Report by Martin Wirt
Our 7th game saw us away to Park Farm Rangers. The boys did not get started at all in the first half, there was no shape and they all seemed to be playing as individuals, not as a team. Because of this, they found their selves 4-0 down at half time. It would of been more if it hadn’t of been for Tyler pulling off some great saves. It was the first time that Ian and myself had to grill the boys at half time. They needed to get their heads back in the game and start playing the way they had been in previous weeks, as a TEAM.
They went into the second half and straight from the kick off they pulled a goal back, with Rowan scoring. They kept pushing forward and playing together as a team, passing and moving well. Tyrese then hit a wonder goal! The score was now 4-2. Park farm rangers then hit us on a break to score. The boys soon bounced back with Rowan scoring his second of the game and taking his tally to 11 goals so far this season! Park farm rangers then hit back with another goal but the boys kept plugging away and Tyrese went on an amazing run and slotted in his second of the game. Final score 6-4 to Park farm rangers.
We had two boys that made their debut for Bromley Green under 10’s, Callum and George. They both fitted in very well and we’re very pleased to have them on the team.
Man of the Match went to Connor for battling well in midfield, well done mate!

Pilgrims 3-2 Bromley Green
Report by Martin Wirt
The boys went into their sixth game at home to Pilgrims. No sooner had the game got underway, we found ourselves 1-0 down. It was going to be an uphill struggle from the start. Pilgrims were a very strong and physical side. However our boys were battling well. For all their hard effort, we still saw ourselves 2-0 down at half time. Myself and Ian reminded the boys to keep their heads up, to stand their ground and not to let the opposition push them around.
The boys went out for the 2nd half with an aim to get back in the game. But no matter how hard they tried, they could not find the net. We then found ourselves 3-0 down with an unfortunate own goal. In the last 10 minutes of the game the boys upped their game and showed their passion and team spirit. Rowan stepped up with a lovely individual goal, which he took round all of the opposing defence! They way they celebrated and got the ball straight back out of the net to put on the centre spot, proved they wanted to get something out of the game. They kept pressing and Mason was getting stuck in, in the middle. Rowan then struck again to get his 2nd goal of the match with minutes to spare. There was just not enough time left to get an equaliser. We lost the game 3-2.
I cannot express how proud Ian and myself are of the whole team. The way the boys always fight until the end is brilliant. They have such great team spirit. All from a team that have been together a couple of months too!
Squad: Tyler, Beau, Joe, Mason, Tyrese, Jack, Maks, Coleson, Pratik, Rowan.
Man of the Match went to Mason Collen [pictured below with Ian Mace and Martin Wirt]. He may be the smallest and youngest on the pitch but he definitely stood out today and got stuck in. Well done mate and keep smiling!

Mersham 2-2 Bromley Green
Report by Martin Wirt

6.10.2012 Ian Mace and Martin Wirt with Tyrese

We We travelled to Mersham for the boys 5th league game. We knew the boys would be tested today as Mersham are known for having good youth teams.
The game got underway with both teams creating good chances. It was end to end with both keepers having to make numerous saves in the first 10 minutes. Tyrese then broke free down the right and put in a lovely cross for Rowan, who headed it in to score our first goal. Mersham hit straight back from a corner to make the score level. The boys continued pushing to regain their lead, with Rowan hitting the bar from a great strike. We could sense a goal was coming! Andrew then made a shot that the goalie couldn’t quite keep hold of and Rowan was there to tap in the rebound, making it 2-1 at half time.
The 2nd half got underway, however it seemed to be all Mersham. The boys were defending for their lives! Tyler pulled off some great saves.
Jack Messenger was getting stuck in with some superb tackles. Mersham then struck with another goal. Half of our boys stopped, where they thought the ball was out of play, however the referee did not! Mersham crossed it in for a tap in. The goal went to Mersham, making us level. Final score 2-2.
Well done Under 10’s, another good result! You all played very well. Keep up the good work and remember to always play to the whistle!

Man of the Match was Tyrese for his excellent effort throughout the game and having the will to win.

Headcorn 1-0 Bromley Green
Report by Martin Wirt
We was at home for our 4th game of the season to Headcorn. We knew it was going to be a tough game but knew the boys would be up for it after their comeback last week.
The game got underway and the first  10 minutes proved to be tough. Not many chances were being made at either end. Joe and Beau both battled well to keep Headcorn out.
Towards the end of the first half Jack Messenger came very close twice but unfortunately we could not get it passed the opposition’s keeper.
We went in at half time 0-0.
The boys remained upbeat during half time talks. Ian and myself encouraged the boys and told them to keep going and that hopefully more chances would come their way.

29.9.2012 Beau is Player of the Match
We started the 2nd half with a lot more time and space and we was creating more chances.
Headcorn then hit us on a break. Tyler Donovan made a great save but unfortunately couldn’t gather the rebound and the score was 1-0 to Headcorn.
The boys kept pushing forward to try and get an equaliser. It was all Bromley Green for the last 5 minutes. Tyrese came close with a close range effort but Headcorn managed to keep it out. Final score was 1-0 to Headcorn.
This was the boys first defeat, however they all still managed to come off with smiles on their faces and all enjoyed the match.
Well done boys you all have a great attitude towards the game.

Report by Martin Wirt
The boys played their first home game of the season against Egerton and Pluckley United. Spirits were still high from last weeks win and the boys were all keen to start the game.
We started the match well with some good passages of play but somehow we found ourselves 2-0 down within the first 15 minutes. Myself and Ian thought their heads would drop, as this was the first time they had been behind in a game. However they proved us wrong and kept going. Rowan popped up with a goal just before the half time whistle!
Ian and I didn’t have much to say at half time other than to keep playing exactly the way they had been. The boys went back in the second half 2-1 down but with their heads held high. The score quickly went even with an own goal from a deflection by an Egerton defender, this from a lovely corner taken by Tyrese. We kept the pressure on with good chances coming from Mason and Coleson. With 5 minutes to go Rowan came in to score our 3rd goal! The boys did well to see out the rest of the game. It was another deserved win for our under 10 boys.
Ian and myself are very proud of the way the boys conducted themselves and came from a 2-0 down score to win the match. Well done!
Squad: Tyler, Beau, Joe, Coleson, Mason, Jack, Maks, Tyrese, Rowan.
Man of the match was Rowan, for getting another 2 goals and for his all round good play.
