Hollie Carr came on late into the first half and made some great decisions in the box and on the field, defensive mode. Well done our player of the match today away to Smeeth and Brabourne Eagles
Match date: 28 February 2015
Grasshoppers Yellow 2-3 Bromley Green
Report by Michelle Christian
We took ten players to our cup game today, Tommy Habgood (captain), Callum Keogh (goalkeeper), Hollie Carr, Stanley Robson, Freddie Barnes-Janes, Pratik Limbu, Maks Konopka, Jay Christian, Samuel Woch and Maharem Zhabeli.
We were confident going into this cup tie as Grasshoppers Yellow are not strangers to us.
Maybe too chilled/asleep because by half time we were 2-0 down mixture of feelings, blame. But after a quick talk to the team their realisation/belief and most definite determination shone through, Tommy scored 2-1 then Pratik 2-2 within the very last minute to equalise.
Extra time was soon upon us.
The belief in our under 11’s hit home they wanted it even more than the home side. In the last minutes of the second half of extra time Tommy our captain and most definite player of the match scored the winner 3-2 final score.
On the whole a great game because of the result it could have gone against us but we kept trying, well done.
22.2.2015 Happy birthday today to Freddie!
Late birthday cake for Riley!

Not clever gestures boys!
Tommy scored our goal in Saturday’s defeat, with Jay voted Player of the Match. Michelle took a splendid team photo but I am not publishing it on the website as several lads thought it clever to make v-sign gestures at the camera. Please don’t do it again when representing your club … it is NOT clever! It will certainly be frowned upon by our sponsors. Thank you DH.
Please all attend training on Tuesday and Thursday. Next Saturday we are away to Smeeth & Brabourne Hawks[meet in the clubhouse 7.30am].

Match date: 2 September 2013
Bromley Green 5-1 Smeeth & Brabourne Hawks
Report by Gavin Janes
In the Under 11’s only friendly of pre season the side produced a stunning performance full of hard work and endeavour.
Lining up in an unfamiliar 3-4-1 formation, and familiarising themselves with the introduction of the off side rule, the extra players on each side, and the longer 60 minute game the team captained by Tommy produced a performance rarely seen last season as they finally outmuscled their opponents to produce a 5-1 victory.
In an even first half, notable for a couple of good saves from goalkeeper Callum and a couple of unlucky misses from Tommy and Forward Jay, whilst midfielder Freddie was in on goal with his effort saved by the keeper twice albeit the play was pulled back for a foul throw! It was nil nil at half time. Wingers Mak and Dom had been full of enterprise and industry on the wings, whilst the midfield battle had been well fought by Freddie and Tommy .
A tight ship at the back was kept by an excellent defensive partnership of Pratik, Stanley and Holly (who had replaced unfortunate Alfie who was injured early on). Up from jay had worked tirelessly for his side. At half time saw the introduction of Dom and Reece who continued the good work of their fellow teammates whilst the side was continually rotated as the match progressed. An early goal was scored by the hawks, a fantastic effort from outside the box, an excellent strike leaving keeper Callum with no chance.
Captain Tommy, then took the match by the scruff of its neck and scored two fine efforts, one from outside the box, the other inside the 6 yard box. He was then moved into a more advanced position to lead the line and added two further goals. The match was sealed in the final moments by winger Mak who hit a glorious free kick into the top corner from fully 20 yards much to the delight of the watching parents who joyfully danced on the sidelines.
This however, was just one game and just one win. Whilst the boys should fully enjoy their victory, the same effort needs to go into Saturdays performance in their first league outing of the season against Wye Dragons. Good luck to the squad.
2.9.2014 Bromley Green 5-1 Smeeth & brabourne

15.3.2014 Report on first win … by Connor Robbins
Today we played host to Smeeth and Brabourne hawks, this is our 14th game of the season and and coming into the game we were on 0 pts for the season, but today has completely changed our view on what we want to achieve in the league this season … Before the game the team weren’t in high spirits knowing that the previous game in the season again Smeeth we lost a miserable 13-1, however things changed straight from kick as we went one nil up in the first 5 minutes however then conceding a unfortunate penalty that in my opinion should never have been, from then on we were strong in attack and decent in defence, the score eventually became 3-3 but in the last ten we went all out with upfront and one full defensive CB, with with more in attack we eventually broke through with 2 additional goals with tommy habgood completing his hatrick, we then made one last change in the formation to cement the victory by bring on a defender in reece and taking of a winger (mason) this it was a very tense last few minutes however we made it and therefore got our first 3 points of the season, so hopefully this can these high spirits can carry on for the remainder of the season. MOM- tommy habgood
22.2.2014: The game away to Wye Dragons has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch
